- Several first class restaurants within easy reach
- Within a short drive are the contrasts of the Somerset Levels and the Mendip Hills
Located in a rural setting close the village of Evercreech, sitting in ½ an acre which surrounds the property comprising cottage gardens, paved sitting space, an orchard of mature fruit trees, lawns, and a small wild meadow area. The former farmhouse, built in the 18th century, now offers a charming combination of a beautiful rambling cottage and garden with the convenience of good communications.
Our guiding principles are to help guests feel comfortable and at home whether staying for a night or a week, and to use produce from local growers and farms. In season we use produce from our own vegetable patch and orchard. We endeavour to eat healthily ourselves and are happy to cater for any special dietary needs.
Crossdale Cottage is ideally situated for enjoying the beautiful countryside on our doorstep and for visiting Shepton Mallet, Glastonbury and the City of Wells. The area is criss-crossed with footpaths. The site of Evercreech Junction and much of the disused Somerset and Dorset Joint Railway trackbed is nearby. The charming small town of Castle Cary is about 6km South and the Royal Bath and West Showground is just 2km to the North.
